Code of Conduct
Eligibility
All employees across all levels and all locations.
Identity Card
I-cards are issued to all students and it is mandatory to have it daily.
Anti-Ragging Policy
Ragging activity is strictly prohibited. Separate anti-ragging committee is appointed. Instruction regarding ragging provided in college prospectus.
Tobacco, Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Policy
The unlawful consumption or use of illegal drugs, tobacco and alcohol by students, employees of the institution is prohibited by the institutional policies displayed through boards.
Discrimination
Discrimination in respect to Religion, Caste, Creed, Gender and Color is prohibited.
Disabilities policy
Discrimination is prohibited against any applicant or employee in hiring, review, promotion, demotion, discharge or other aspects of employment on the basis of the person’s disability; if a person is qualified and able to perform the essential functions of the job with reasonable accommodation.
Equal Employment Opportunity
It is a policy of the institution to give equal opportunity to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to Religion, Race, Creed, Caste, Color, Sex, Disability and Age. The policy applies to initial employment, promotion, compensation and termination.
Sexual Harassment
Sexual harassment of employees or students at the institution is prohibited and shall subject the offender to dismissal or other conditions.
Personal Conduct
The institution expects all employees to follow rules and regulations and standards of courtesy, conducts and cooperation. Any faculty member found indulging in conducting tuition classes or coaching classes, remunerative or otherwise would be suspended with immediate effect.
Safety
Safety on the job and care of property and equipments is the responsibility of employees. Every effort should be made to avoid careless work habits.
Political Activities
No employee of the institution shall hold or be a candidate for political party seeking votes while in the employment of the institution, or take part in a political employment campaign while on duty.
Outside Employment
Employment outside the institution is not permitted.
Malpractices
No employee shall involve in or encourage any form of malpractice connected with examinations or other activities of the institution.
Grievance Redressal
Every employee shall represent his/her grievance for redressal, only through proper channel.
Publications
No employee shall, without prior sanctions from the Management give a talk on media or publish any statement either by name or anonymously related to institutional matters.
Professional Ethics
Professional code of prescribed / suggested by statutory bodies / regulatory authorities for different professions A code of professional conduct is a necessary component to any profession to maintain standards for the individuals within that profession to adhere. It brings about accountability, responsibility and trust to the individuals that the profession serves.
The college practice and comply with the following rules and regulation:
- The recruitment, service, promotion, superannuation etc., are governed by the service rules of the UGC, the Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, and the Government of Maharashtra, as promulgated from time to time.
These rules are as under –
- Service Rules for Teaching-staff – as per the UGC norms as per government resolution Higher & Technical Education Department No. NGC – 1298 (4619) uni 4, dated 11th Dec. 1999 o Government of India MHRD letter No.1-32/2006 – U. II U I (i) dated 31st Dec. 2008
- Service Rules for Non-teaching staff – As per the Government of Maharashtra’s Civil Service Rules o As per Standard Code 7th Mar 1985 & MCSR 1981 (Maharashtra Civil Service Rules)
- Recruitment, promotional policies – The recruitment and promotion of staff are done strictly as per the rules and regulation of the UGC, New Delhi, the Government of Maharashtra, and as per the guidelines mentioned in the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016, and the guidelines issued by the Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, from time to time. For the purpose of promotion, the PBAS Forms of teaching staff are filled timely and are endorsed by the head of the concerned department, and then vetted by the principal. The IQAC computes the API of the teaching staff, and on that basis, the promotions are given by the Management Council of the Iqra Education Society, Jalgaon.
